ONE in a THOUSAND chances!Only 1% of applicants make it this far.Probably one of the coolest things we’ve experienced! The @defender Trophy qualifiers were an absolute blast of everything possible. We met so many incredible people, challenged ourselves, and pushed our limits.Our expedition took us through so many continents, terrains of all sorts, meeting people and their traditions all around the world, sharing a meal and being hosted by locals we now call friends and hope to see again one day, breakdowns and challenges that slowed us down but never stopped us, the Land Rover community in every country by our side to give a hand-organise events-invitations to homes-meals-maintenance check ups-and more… being invited to new adventures like the Baja1000, and now THE Defender Trophy! 🏆Very glad to be part of the Land Rover community.Huge thank you to @defender and @tusk_org for this unforgettable opportunity. That’s 365 new views we get straight from our car all around the world! Some days are better than others, but most times are just the best! A second week in India, under the blazing heat, reaching 51 Celcius! 🥵 ☀️Objective trying to reach the dunes of Sams desert by the city of Jaisalmer near the Pakistan border. And we get there, ride the dunes and enjoy the sunset. We were suppose to sleep in the desert under the milky way and stars. But to be honest, after sun down, the wind picked up, sand blew everywhere and the heat was still around 40 Celsius. We escaped back to town!We visit the varied forts of the region, at this time it’s mostly just us, we haven’t seen any tourists. Most shops, hotels and restaurants are closed, the streets are empty, the sun is blazing heat down. Every walk, we buy 2x 1 liter water bottles and off w go.To be honest, we cut short every visit and ran back to AC rooms. This has been a tough 2 weeks we didn’t fully enjoy because of the heat wave. But Rajasthan is spectacular!Now, it’s time to head north into the Himalayas and start wild camping and living again 😁

The Indians are curious, kind and helpful.
